Biography
The story behind the stories — how a night-shift notebook became Ashen Hollow Press.
An award-winning storyteller known for immersive novels that linger long after the final page. Through books, essays, and live conversations, Andrew Miler explores human emotion, mystery, and meaning.
Andrew began writing at the nurses' station between rounds — short scenes, then chapters, then a manuscript passed hand to hand until a publisher called it "unputdownable." That book, The Hollow Hour, founded Ashen Hollow Press and has never since been out of print.
Today he writes from a stone cottage at the edge of the hollow that gave the press its name, records the Listening Hub essays, and answers every reader letter in a fountain pen.
